This Show Knows What A Woman Wants And It's A Massive Cat That Does All The Chores. But unironically, this show is very sweet. Learning more and more about how Yukuchi came to become Fukuzawa's oversized pet in between his daily antics of trying to take care of his owner. The part that could have messed this all up is if Fuzukawa was *just* lazy; but we see throughout the series that she has a myriad of sternghts and is a good preson, just isn't paticularly partial to the homemaking and self-care skills that Yukuchi has trained himself on. They work as a great duo in life.

I still have mixed thoughts on this one. On one hand, the themes of friendship and overcoming self doubt are well done and powerful. Some of the characters (especially Yohane herself) I perfer in this version to the original. The fantasy elements are intresting while still just familiar enough to be comfy. But also, the actual main plotline is a mess. The Calamity and The Prophecy were left so vauge throughout the story that any time that The Calamity would show up (normally in the middle of another, more intresting arc) it would be a very unwelcome suprise. It wansn't a serious threat, just something that made weird shit happen sometime. It's an 8/10 at it's best moments, but with the underwhelming ending and the non-cgdct plot being bad it takes quite a hit to overall enjoyment.

Well, the legend of the Quints is finally over, with 2 slice-of-life episodes covering some of the events that got cut for time from the mainline anime. But by Shaft?? Exelent! You can see their style ooze in, especially with the absolutely gorgeous bikini shots in the first episode. AND they did the Yotsuba recognizing her feelings scene beautifully?? I love Yotsuba to death and seeing her being animated so beautifully made me shed a tear. The only reason for the 6/10 score is that it's not paticularly plot important as the premise suggests and I wouldn't want to rate it higher than the main plot (even if it is WAY prettier).

This one went from good to not good over the course of it's runtime. When the manga published it's first chapter, it was a massive meme. When the anime adaptation got announced, we were all expecting some fun garbage, but garbage none the less. But when episode 1 came out and we strapped in expecting the dump; it was suprisingly good. Hakkon's powers as a vending machine are actually, really good. It's basically a fantasy merchant story. Being able to summon items for money that lets you level up a skill tree is a pretty neat concept. Like all good fights, the solution to most obsticles is unusual strategy. Since the rules are well-established, it lets Hakkon win while feeling like he deserved it. Unfortunately, the series got old and fast. After about episode 5 or 6, the fact that he would champion and various girls wanted to rub their coin slots against his got repetitive.

It's Rent-A-Kuzu again, the show I (and many others) only watch out of a psycological need to get angry at a screen. Kuzuma is the same Kuzu as always. I swear the only reason for his character is so that the audience can think "Man this guy sucks and yet all these girls wanna bang! I would treat them better!". Big suprise, but things don't advance yet again. They even had to add a new character who is literally plot device incarnate to PUSH Kazuya to actually do something at the right time and maybe not do the things that he does decide to. With (spoiler) Chizuru's grandma dying (end spoiler), you would expect that the only reason for them to keep in touch other than friendship / romantic intrest going away it would either end the series with them going seperate ways or with their relationship progressing AT ALL. Well, the closest we get is Kazutrash taking days to decide if he should support Chizuru and then seeing her cry? Like, they are still hanging out and talking despite the one reason for them to do so being gone and yet we stay at a stalemate.

Why is every magic school series doomed to mediocraty? The characters are unintresting (unless you haven't seen Fate, then you won't recognise Nanao being a Saber clone), the magic system's rules seem to change whenever convienent, and the universe manages to make itself unintresting despite being a Harry Potter clone; maybe not well-written but at least has an intresting setting. Every major fight is won by pure pulling out of the ass tricks, there are no consequences for any characters ever no matter what they do, and that last one is touted as a *part of their world*. You can't just make in-universe excuses for your innability to write change in the dynamics of characters.

So glad that we got a s2, and so soon! Anne continues to follow her passion despite the aristocrat's best efforts, and this season we even get some Fen character development & foreshadowing. I like how multi dimentional the supporting cast is as well, even characters like Jonas and Bridget who have been a huge penis do some nice things and manage to redeem themselves.

A classic ecchi/harem romcom if I have ever seen one, but in the endeering way. Akagami is probably one of the better mcs; he is genuinely trying to be a better person, hard-working, and respects the women in his life. It's easy to see why he has a harem and everyone in it has clear reasons for liking him. And with the plot device of everyone needing to be chaste for their faith, it makes it so Akagami and the girls have to fight against their desires even when they are super open about them with eachother. It's a suprisingly respectful story of people working to become better together for the sake of their loved onces.

Ichikawa is an edgy little shit who wants everyone to know that he likes murders and 'dark stuff' for his middle-school age and squeeker ass voice. He makes it a point to tear down the popular social hierarchy at his school, until he meets the queen of it all Yamada, who despite his intuition telling him is a pure evil incarnate, is actually just a sweet albeit ditsy girl. The series centeres arround their misunderstandings, with Ichikawa being quick to assume the worst of everything whole Yamada is hopelessly clueless to his antics. Every episode made me laugh out loud multiple times, and they are both a delight to watch. The romance is dorky and awquard, but in that middle-school way that love tends to be.

One of my favorites now. Imagine being an immortal elf who gets summoned into the Edo period of Japan to serve as a shrine maiden. Watching time go by in an alien land, all the same things come into and out of fashion, language changes, and ways of life, until the present where you can call this place home. People come to see you, and a few have even said your ears are big! Being tired and scared of the outside world, you would rather retreat into the new and very addicting world of otaku media. But you are still a diety at the shrine that has housed you for the last few eras, so your bright-and-shiny shrine maiden tries to make you get out and complete your rituals to ensure good fortune for the citezens.
This slice-of-life includes slices-of-life from history and lots of cool lessons on how japanese culture has changed over time and how having such a long lifespan would allow you to understand and collect so many tidbits of knowlege. The miko Koito is young and used to look up to her, but now sees her as a lazy and self-indulgent weirdo. But she wants to be like her mother, and that means begrudgenly caring for Elda.

My new favorite romance anime, and that is not an understatement. Two people afflicted by the same illness, one feeling like their life is aimless and the other thinking theirs could end at any moment meet. They become friends since nobody else is up in the wee hours of the night and start the hobby of taking pictures of the stars since they feel like they are the only ones who can see it. The progression of their romance is gradual and mature, each one caring deeply for the other.

I'm gonna be honest; I had hopes for this show for way too long. It had an intresting premise, and I thought that at some point it would begin to subvert expectations or build on it's themes more to make it actually good. That did not happen though. It is basically engineered to be a cashgrab. Not a single thought went into making this anything other than a basic idol anime. And I love idol anime, so it being garbage isn't easy to say.

I'm gonna be honest, I love Kuma Kuma Bear. It's just a nice and wholesome cgdct in a fantasy world. Yuna is kickass and beautiful. I do not care that she is a Marry Sue. She is MY Marry Sue. This is my John Wick. This is everything I need. Unfortunately the story, characters, and art aren't very good. So I can't give it the 10/10 it is in my heart, because without the wish fufilment, this is a bland show. I will give it a 5.5 because that extra .5 represents my full heart.

I had my red flags about this from the begining. It's a cool setting and being an otaku who likes the refrences and such, I wanted it to defy my expectations like the anime community at large was waiting for. But it was a mess. A trainwreck. I'm suprised a second season got greenlit. This is the modern Darling In The Franxx.

It's just a regular ecchi romcom. It's what you came for, but it's just so bland. The mc isn't a wimp, instead he's a complete asshole that makes you miss wimpy mcs and makes you wonder what any of the girls see in him. The only halfway decent character is Riho, because at least she has some character depth in the begining before being reduced back to being a gag character with the rest.

For a series about an alien princess who wants to draw manga and ends up getting space married to her senpai, this is really down-to-earth. Shiori is so kind and princess-like, her small happiness at earth things and cute manga really rubs off. Her love for love itself is innocent and adorable. On the same hand, Ichirou is also a romantic who cares deeply for everyone arround him, including two of his child tennants who he acts almost as a father figure to. It's an innocent romance between two good people that may get into misunderstandings but ultimately want to learn from eachother.

Cute and heartwarming. I really like the IM@S format of 1 character focus per episode, each episode felt like I was tempted to change my favorite and in the end it's still hard for me to tell. And other characters aren't reduced to the background like in other series that try this; it's more like the plot is one of the idol's challenges or something protaining to them that everybody goes along with. The theme of what it means to grow up is prevelant throughout as well and well executed.

I can't help but feel that even though the premise and s1 had mature themes and a mature relationship that this season falls flat. Even though they are married they get embarrased kissing or sleeping together still?? They have been living together for a year, are adults, and mutrally in love. It's like the mangaka ran out of ways to make the story progress past being married and in love and decided that reverting to high school shenanigans was the best way to solve that problem.

Honestly it's hard for an Uma Musume anime to be good in a post-S2 world. There is just such a high bar to reach. Road to top was okay, not much special and the main characters are some of the weakest in the cast imo. The short runtime dosen't help much either.

Shit was ALL over the place. A new low for Aggretsuko. The first arc with Haida feels like his character has to go back 10 steps to have the same arc again, though at least it was intresting social commentary. The second arc on the other hand, was not. Idk how Aggretsuko managed to make an entire arc about politics and only have one (1) policy mentioned that is fairly well supported. Feels like a cop out for Netflix-senpai. I'm glad that this is the last season, because the formula of make Retsuko get put into an outlandish situation was bad as soon as it started.
The rating of 5/10 is because this is exactally the level of quality I expected from this franchise. It's entertaining at least. I told myself I wouldn't watch this season and then the day it came out I watched half of it. Such a fall from grace I almost want to give it a 4 or 3 but it's still a fairly normal quality show overall.

It's a fairly standard ecchi/romcom, with the twist of genderbent mc for more yuri shenanigans (a welcome inclusion to the formula). Suzu is very cute and her drive to care for the ayakashi despite the odds is heartwarming. Also fantastic thighs! Unfortunately the constant delays in production did not help it in any way. It basically lasted 3 seasons. The genderbending helped the romance signicicantly imo, especially with watching Suzu gradually warm up to fem Matsuri and fall in love with him all over again. The romantic rivals wern't much to talk about, and mostly just acted as plot devices. The ending just begs for a s2 but I have a feeling that CONNECT isn't going to want to have a repeat of this fiasco.
I gave it the score of 6/10 because the twists are nice but it is ultimately quite clishe and the things that it does new aren't exeptional.

Hey, another state funded "hey why dont you get laid" anime again. It normally takes way longer than 9 months to make a rip-off of a more popular anime (spyxfamily), but this one is suprisingly... good. It keeps the charm of spyxfamily completly, if you wanted more spyxfamily but with 2 dads thats what you are gonna get. Good production values too. It also explores more of how having a child impacts other facets of life, since the two found Miri and have to juggle her with their normal lives than Loyd had to with Anya given she is a priamary part of his job. In Buddy Daddies Miri is more of a chaotic force that they need to account for and adapt too, wich makes the themes of family more accurate IMO.
Rated 6/10 because it's cute, but not much that makes it stand out or be worth watching unless you love yaoi dads.

Oh boy... More Homura Kawamoto... If you know him than you can already guess how 60 people get special bullshit powers that the special bullshit powers mafia has to fight to 'keep the peace' (while making ludicrous ammounts of money). But much like his other works, it's so ridiculously over-the-top that it has its own kind of entertainment. Because watching someone fire 3 rounds onto the edge of a katana that each bullet adds to the force before it until the sword is torn from a hand might not be "accurate" or "fair", but it sure is something to witness. Especially when right after the katana dude leaps hundreds of feet into the air to slash a helicopter in half. Characters are fairly plain or predictable to a fault, but the main draw is downloading the next episode just because you wonder how much anime logic can be stuffed into a 20 minute episode.

Though this may be an unpopular opinion (or popular, dependent on what side of the internet you were on when s1 aired), I really liked s1. I feel like the pacing was just right that, though a bit repetitive of a formula, there was always something new added with every chapter that showed the relationship between Nagatoro and Senpai growing. But s2 is just... repetitive. Had it stayed 1 season or s2 was gearing up for a serious confession ending I would have been happy saying that its a cute show. But as is, it feels like this will Never. Fucking. End.. Only intresting development was Senpai maybe having a daydream about marying nagatoro. Other than that its the same chapter formula of they meet -> Nagatoro comes up with a new torture method -> it starts to get on Senpai's nerves so he 'fights back' -> this innevitably pushes the border between teasing and flirting, that makes them both uncomfortable and back off. If they dont back off, the next chapter will start with them both at max embarasment, and then the cycle continues. I do like (spoiler!) how Senpai stopped wearing glasses for one chapter's skit and now he stays glasessless. He seems to be feeling more confident and getting healthier mentally too. that was a nice detail to see. (spoiler end)

What the dog doin anime. As a tad bit of a pervert myself, the premise *ahem* intriuged me. We are obviously ment to self-insert with the dog, and thats all fine and good the first 3 or so episodes. Typical accsidents and scenarios play out that you would expect of being a dog to a cute girl. But then... The girl stops being cute the moment she lets on that she wants to FUCK the dog. When she starts shoving him under her clothes or trying to make him sniff her pussy... I'm sorry I cant be attracted to her anymore shes gross now. and then (spoiler) she was revealed to be the one who made him turn into a dog bc shes a zoophile (spoiler end). There is some credit to be given to how this show has some gross weird shit and then acts like its still a normal moe blob situational ecchi anime. I guess it was an innevitable dilema when trying to make anime girl cater to the viewer, who is, in fact, a dog. Same with the other characters. I'ts pretty gross and makes me tempted to drop the series alltogether. But its short and downloading the next episode just to see how slutty some girl can get for corgi dick is better than watching paint dry.

Nothing better than a good girl-of-the-season type romance. The plot is predictable, but we are not here for that. What we are here for is our cute mischevious goddess Kubo-san. If I was to explain her to someone who has never seen this anime, she's like Nozomi from Love Live and every other onee-chan to ever show up on my screen got boiled down into the most pure substance of moe possible. Shes a bit of a trickster and likes to tease our mc (whats his name again? does this anime even have a mc? I don't remember... odd) allthewhile being as gentle as a feather. She's the type to whisper dumb jokes to you as you try and fall asleep. She's the type who will always give a good sholder to cry on, but will probably give you a little bit of shit for it after you've calmed down. An absolute dream, unfortunate that the delays almost lead me to forget all about it.

JUDO GOOD. I think the thing that stands out most about this cgdct is how darn dorky all the girls are. Such loveable dorks. I dont have a "favorite character" but everyone is so enjoyable to watch. I can only compare it to something like Eizoken where the characters are written more like little snotty gremlin kids, but Mou Ippon's cast also KICKS SOME ASS and is occasionally VERY GAY. Actually all of the main cast is lesbians just like in every other female sports anime. And the episode 4 fight scene was UOAHHHHHHHH. So good i showed it to my bf. The relationship writing is good too, I just want them all to hook up and be happy wresslin'. Also this anime made me wish there was a place to learn Judo on the island.

The trans femboy cunny anime has finally arrived! My friend in high school turned me onto the manga, though I didn't quite get it's themes and such from the first few chapters and dropped it... Only to pick it back up again after the anime. Mahiro is basically given a second chance at growing up from a completley diffrent perspective. His character changes gradually as he begins to learn new things about himself. He makes friends who accsept him and that he enjoys being arround, and in the process unlearns some of the assuptions he had made from his previous life. And eventually he decides to stay here a little bit longer; to live out his new life on his own accord and not due to an accident. It's heartwarming and something I am still waiting to happen to me. The ecchi is fantastic and the animation is superb in every category. But a lot of it is there to show Mahiro's change in state of mind, where he has large reactions to women's bodies at the begining to how she now sees them as one of her own.

You can absolutely tell this was written by a woman. For all my fellow girlies out there who want slob bf to take care of, here's some gold. Mahiru is the REAL self insert. Writing and production values are eh but sometimes you just get a spike of doki-doki while watching so be careful! The romance is very cute! As someone who was roomates with my current boyfriend before we started dating, it manages to nail down the domestic beauty and the newly in love feelings just right.

For all my Honzuki no Gekokujou fans out there; WE HAVE NEW MEAT! The title may be a bit intimidating, but if you give an episode a shot you will realize this is one of the special isekais. With a very cute main character who wants to play life safe for her onii-chan when she aquires the ability to jump worlds and warp to locations. She finds out that in the new isekai world their coins are worth crazy money in our world, so she starts the buisness of using her knowlege and materials from the real world in the fantasy world to sell goods and services. Because shes a smart cookie and knows she may never get a chance like this again, she knows that she has to do this fast just in case her powers run out one day and leave her stranded in either world. She's charasmatic as satan himself and a true buisnessmaSn. Very entertaining watch.

Modern shoujo anime?!?!? And it comes with some genuinely good writing and production values! I'd say probably the hidden gem of the season, very sweet and a good cozy fairy tale. Some of the situations look grim but mc is a pure of heart iron-willed maiden and is determined to make the best outcome out of things!

That one anon finally got his wish, and I'm really happy for him honestly. The main two's chemistry is about as meets the eye; Tomo wanting to be aknowlaged as a girl and a potential partner by Jun while being embarased to death by this fact, and Jun torn between not wanting to loose his childhood friend and personal hero while also admiring Tomo and choosing to keep his feelings hidden to keep them friends as always. The real reason to watch though is the supporting cast. Especially Carol. Shes the best. But everyone rooting for (or against) Jun and Tomo's potential romance is the real fun and makes for some of the best moments. But overall its pretty formulaic and you can just about guess word for word whats gonna be said once you have the setup of the chapter.
